North Curry
the first designated conservation area
in Taunton Deane, has for generations been the centre of the
rural willow industry. In fact, the Willow Trail can be followed and all the
processes
from the initial planting of the withies to the finished product can be seen.
The whole area has an abundance of wildlife including badgers, foxes and deer,
whilst Curry Moor is of particular interest to bird watchers.
The village centre boasts many listed cottages and the unusual Victoria Jubilee
Monument
with the magnificent church of St Peter and Paul overlooking Curry Moor.
One of the main advantages of North Curry is, although it has no main road
running through it,
it is still convenient for access to the county town of Taunton,
the motorway and all the other attractions that abound within the area.
